Apply in confidence →Seeking a driven associate (3–6 years PQE) to join a national labor & employment team focused on transactional and strategic advisory work. This role sits at the intersection of employment law and corporate dealmaking, advising on matters where personnel issues affect enterprise value and post‑closing integration.
You will support employment diligence for M&A and private equity transactions, draft and negotiate executive employment and separation agreements, advise on restrictive covenants and executive mobility, and assist with sensitive post‑transaction workforce integration and leadership transitions. The position offers high‑visibility work with corporate deal teams and sponsors, and requires strong judgment and the ability to move quickly.
The role may be based in Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Chicago, or Dallas and provides opportunities to develop a blended transactional/advisory practice in a fast‑paced environment.
- 3–6 years of post‑qualification experience with significant transactional employment/L&E exposure
- Experience supporting M&A or private equity diligence and negotiating executive employment, separation, or restrictive covenant agreements
- Strong drafting, client‑facing and project‑management skills; ability to work collaboratively with corporate deal teams
- Sound judgment, discretion handling sensitive personnel matters, and interest in building a transactional/advisory employment practice
