Apply in confidence →Seeking a transactional-focused Labor & Employment associate to join a busy team that sits at the intersection of employment law and corporate dealmaking. The role emphasizes strategic, high-stakes work where personnel issues affect enterprise value, post-closing integration, and leadership transitions.
You will work on employment-related transactional matters alongside corporate deal teams, private equity sponsors, and senior clients — supporting diligence, negotiating executive employment and separation agreements, advising on restrictive covenants and executive mobility, and helping manage sensitive post-transaction workforce integration issues.
This position may be based in Pittsburgh, with potential placement in several other regional offices. The role offers visible responsibility on complex matters, opportunities to develop a blended transactional and advisory practice, and support for professional development.
- 3–6 years of post-qualification experience in labor & employment matters with a transactional focus
- Experience supporting M&A or private equity diligence and advising on employment-related deal issues
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills for executive employment, separation, and restrictive covenant agreements
- Excellent judgment, client-facing communication skills, and ability to work on fast-moving, high-stakes matters with corporate deal teams
