A global law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Portland office to lead patent litigation matters and advise on complex finance transactions. The role sits at the intersection of intellectual property litigation and finance, offering a client-facing leadership position within a cross-practice team.

The partner will manage high-stakes patent disputes, collaborate with finance colleagues on leveraged and structured finance matters as needed, and play a central role in originating and expanding client relationships. A portable practice or demonstrable book of business in patent litigation and related finance work is welcomed.

Proven partner-level experience handling patent litigation matters (trial and appellate experience preferred).
Experience advising on finance transactions (leveraged and/or structured finance) or working alongside finance teams on litigation-related finance issues.
Track record of originating and growing client relationships; portable practice/ book of business desirable.
Bar admission in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction or ability to become admitted; strong communication and team leadership skills.
