Apply in confidence →Join the General Counsel’s Office of a leading national law firm as a lawyer on the Conflicts & Risk Management team. This role sits at the centre of the firm’s ethics, regulatory and risk‑management framework and offers the chance to develop a specialised practice advising on conflicts, professional responsibility and firm risk processes.
You will work closely with partners, firm leadership and administrative teams to review client and matter intake, clear lateral hires, draft conflict-related language, and support improvements to internal systems and policies. The role requires discretion, independent judgment and collaborative problem‑solving.
Training will be provided; this is suited to lawyers who are curious, analytical and motivated by operational legal work that blends legal reasoning with ethics and regulatory considerations.
- Membership in good standing with a Canadian law society
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French (required)
- Experience with conflicts, legal ethics or risk management is an asset
- Comfort with technology and willingness to learn practice‑management systems (experience with Intapp or Aderant is an asset)
- Collaborative mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines
