Interim opportunity for a Banking & Finance lawyer to support major financial institutions and corporates across the UAE on 4–6 month on-site assignments, based primarily in Abu Dhabi (some roles may be Dubai-based).

Typical work includes advising on corporate and investment banking transactions, drafting and negotiating bilateral and syndicated facilities, trade finance and working capital documentation, and structuring/converting Islamic finance products. Role-holder will also support regulatory, governance and compliance matters across the region.

Clients will include leading regional and international banks and financial services groups. The role requires a pragmatic, commercially minded lawyer able to work directly with in-house teams and manage external counsel where required.

4–10 years PQE in banking & finance or in-house banking legal teams
Strong experience drafting and negotiating syndicated and bilateral loan documentation, trade finance and collateral arrangements
Familiarity with Islamic finance structures (Murabaha, Ijara, Sukuk) desirable
Good knowledge of UAE law and regional regulatory frameworks (DIFC, UAE Central Bank), AML and sanctions considerations
Ability to commit to on-site client assignments in Abu Dhabi (candidates based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai preferred)
Excellent drafting, commercial judgment and stakeholder management skills
