Interim legal role for an experienced technology lawyer to support commercial and regulatory work across the UAE (typically Abu Dhabi or Dubai). Assignments are generally full-time contracts of around six months, with some flexible arrangements available.

The role focuses on drafting, negotiating and advising on technology agreements (SaaS, cloud, software licences, IT outsourcing and procurement), data processing arrangements and IP issues arising from software and digital products. You will provide pragmatic, commercially minded advice to internal stakeholders and regional clients on UAE law and relevant free-zone regimes.

  • 5–10 years post-qualification experience in technology/commercial contracts
  • Proven experience drafting and negotiating SaaS, cloud, software licence and outsourcing agreements
  • Knowledge of UAE data protection law and DIFC/ADGM regulations
  • Familiarity with IP issues for software and emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, digital assets)
  • Strong commercial awareness, contract management and stakeholder-facing skills
