Short-term (6–12 month) full-time contract working hybrid in Melbourne for a major financial services organisation. The role sits on the compliance/regulatory team and focuses on advising on financial services regulatory obligations and embedding practical compliance solutions across the business.

Typical work includes advising on obligations under the Corporations Act and related regulatory regimes, documenting and implementing compliance frameworks, policies, controls and obligation registers, and supporting governance, remediation and breach management matters.

  • Minimum 8 years' post-qualification experience in financial services compliance/regulatory law (private practice or in-house).
  • Proven experience advising on compliance obligations in a financial services environment and applying the Corporations Act to governance, disclosure and conduct issues.
  • Experience drafting and implementing compliance frameworks, policies, procedures, controls and obligation registers; able to work with operational teams to embed requirements.
  • Strong analytical, commercial judgment and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current Australian practising certificate and right to work in Australia.
