Apply in confidence →Interim legal opportunity for an experienced non-contentious construction lawyer to support projects and infrastructure work across the UAE. Assignments are typically full‑time, six months (with some variation) and based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai; flexible arrangements may be available.
The role involves drafting and negotiating construction contracts (FIDIC and bespoke), O&M/FM documentation and related project agreements across sectors such as power, transport, buildings and leisure. Successful candidates will provide senior front‑end support on drafting contract suites, negotiating with counterparties and advising on contractor/subcontractor and design professional issues.
- Minimum 8 years’ post‑qualification experience in non‑contentious construction / projects work
- Proven experience drafting and negotiating FIDIC and bespoke construction contracts; O&M and FM contracts desirable
- Experience on infrastructure, power, transport or large buildings projects
- Recent in‑house experience within an energy, transport or infrastructure organisation is a plus
- Prior regional/Middle East experience and Arabic language skills advantageous
- Valid practising certificate (or equivalent) permitting practice in the region; consultant mindset and ability to work independently on fixed‑term assignments
