Legal Consultant — Derivatives & Structured Finance — London

Senior legal consultants are sought for a flexible, assignment-based role focused on derivatives and structured finance. Typical engagements cover OTC and exchange-traded derivatives, structured products (equity, credit, rates, FX), hedging for securitisations and structured financings, ISDA/CSA and related collateral documentation, and transaction management for structured credit and CLOs.

Assignments are usually six months or longer and are delivered via a global consultancy platform backed by a leading international law firm. Consultants receive access to firm knowledge resources, professional support lawyers and opportunities for training, development and networking while working directly with banks and other financial institutions across EMEA.

Applicants must be able to work on a consultancy basis in the UK; the programme does not offer visa sponsorship. Successful candidates will be autonomous, commercially minded and able to transition quickly into client teams to deliver high-quality, practical legal advice.

• At least 8 years post-qualification experience in derivatives and structured finance.
• Minimum two years’ post-qualification experience at a recognised top-tier firm for derivatives/structured finance.
• Strong experience with ISDAs, collateral agreements, structured products documentation and transaction management for securitisations/CLOs.
• Excellent commercial judgment, stakeholder management and project-management skills; able to work independently on client assignments.
• Practising certificate (or equivalent) permitting UK practice and right to live and work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
