Seeking an experienced in-house Legal Counsel to join a global Office of General Counsel supporting LATAM operations from San José. This role focuses on corporate transactional work and technology-related commercial agreements while collaborating with regional and global legal teams.

Key responsibilities include negotiating and drafting high-volume client and vendor contracts (SaaS, DPA, licensing, IT services), supporting technology implementations and vendor due diligence, advising on sanctions and compliance matters, and assisting with corporate secretarial and ad hoc projects such as new office openings.

Active bar licence (Licenciatura) required
Approximately 5 years’ PQE in a law firm or in-house role supporting international or regional practices, with strong experience in commercial and technology contracts
Proven familiarity with SaaS, data processing agreements, software licensing and cloud/IT services
Fluency in English required; additional languages (Portuguese advantageous)
Knowledge of international data privacy (e.g. GDPR), sanctions, AML/KYC and vendor onboarding processes preferred
Strong drafting, communication, organisational and stakeholder-management skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
