Seeking a Licensing Attorney to join a national fintech and financial services regulatory team. This role supports a high-volume, multistate licensing practice with work spanning licenseability analyses, preparation and filing of state license applications, and post‑licensure compliance support for regulated lenders and consumer/ commercial finance businesses.

This is an off-track associate role reporting to senior attorneys in the practice group. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching state statutes and regulations, drafting and compiling licensing filings, coordinating multistate application projects, and supporting related regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters.

Juris Doctor and membership in the relevant State Bar
2–6 years’ legal experience handling licensing or regulatory matters at a law firm, company, or regulatory agency
Familiarity with state licensing processes and the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS)
Experience reviewing state statutes and regulations and working with federal consumer finance laws (e.g., TILA, RESPA, UDAP)
Strong drafting, organization, and project-management skills; attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with varied stakeholders; proficiency with Microsoft Office
