Apply in confidence →Seeking a Licensing Attorney to join a national fintech and financial services regulatory team. This role supports a high-volume, multistate licensing practice with work spanning licenseability analyses, preparation and filing of state license applications, and post‑licensure compliance support for regulated lenders and consumer/ commercial finance businesses.
This is an off-track associate role reporting to senior attorneys in the practice group. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching state statutes and regulations, drafting and compiling licensing filings, coordinating multistate application projects, and supporting related regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters.
- Juris Doctor and membership in the relevant State Bar
- 2–6 years’ legal experience handling licensing or regulatory matters at a law firm, company, or regulatory agency
- Familiarity with state licensing processes and the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS)
- Experience reviewing state statutes and regulations and working with federal consumer finance laws (e.g., TILA, RESPA, UDAP)
- Strong drafting, organization, and project-management skills; attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with varied stakeholders; proficiency with Microsoft Office
