A leading London real estate practice is seeking a managing associate to join its planning team. The team advises on the full range of planning and development matters for institutional developers, funds and private clients, covering appeals, compulsory purchase, environmental assessments, planning obligations and policy challenges.

The role will involve advising on planning agreements (including section 106), permitted development, certificates of lawfulness, compulsory purchase orders, planning appeals and challenges, enforcement matters, CIL, EIA and planning due diligence for real estate and corporate transactions. The team offers cross-disciplinary work across development, construction, investment and dispute resolution.

Minimum 5 years PQE in UK planning/real estate law
Broad experience across planning matters: S106, CPOs, appeals, EIA, enforcement and planning due diligence
Proven ability to draft and negotiate planning agreements and manage planning litigation/challenge
Strong attention to detail, organisation and the ability to manage workload independently and within a team
Excellent written and oral communication; commercial, client-focused approach
