Apply in confidence →Join a market-leading finance team in London to help build and scale a Transition Finance practice with an international focus. This is an early-responsibility role offering direct client exposure, transaction ownership and scope to develop a visible market profile.
The role sits within a broader Social, Sustainable and Impact Finance capability and works closely with the wider corporate and finance platform. You will advise lenders, arrangers, sponsors and asset managers on transition-related financings across corporate and project structures.
Typical matters include structuring and documenting complex acquisition, project, private credit and government-backed financings where assets are transitioning toward lower-carbon or more sustainable outcomes. There is clear opportunity for rapid progression for candidates who originate work and help grow the practice.
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' PQE in finance transactions (top‑city or comparable firm experience).
- Strong technical skills in complex debt finance: drafting and negotiating investment‑grade/LMA-style documentation, cross‑border leveraged and project finance, and structured holdco financings.
- Experience advising on financings for transition‑enabling assets (examples: renewables, data centres/digital infrastructure, large‑scale retrofit, industrial decarbonisation, natural capital or water/flood resilience projects).
- Proven ability to own transactions day‑to‑day, work across disciplines and jurisdictions, and contribute to business development and market positioning.
- Leadership aptitude: mentoring junior lawyers, commercial judgment and the drive to build a practice and client relationships.
