Mid-Level Associate, Complex Commercial Litigation — Chicago

Chicago office of a leading litigation practice seeks a mid-level associate to join its complex commercial litigation team. The role focuses on litigation across Illinois state and federal courts, supporting matters from pleadings through trial.

Ideal candidates will have broad-based litigation experience (see requirements below), strong writing and research abilities, and demonstrated case-management skills on large, high-stakes matters, including handling discovery, depositions, motion practice, expert development, and trial preparation.

• Minimum 3 years of litigation experience at a top-tier law firm or comparable experience (e.g., federal clerkship)
• Proven experience managing complex discovery and e-discovery in large matters
• Experience taking and defending depositions and drafting/arguing motions
• Strong legal research, writing, organization, and case-management skills
• Admission to the Illinois State Bar and excellent academic credentials
