Mid-Level Corporate Associate — Private Equity, Washington, D.C.

Mid-level associate opportunity on a national private equity team, based in the Washington, D.C. office with possible opportunities across other U.S. offices. The role focuses on buyouts, recapitalizations, M&A and related transactional work for private equity funds, independent sponsors, family offices and portfolio companies across industry verticals.

The team offers significant transaction exposure, client-facing responsibility and collaborative training from senior lawyers. Typical duties include drafting and negotiating transaction documents, managing closings, conducting legal and factual research, and supervising more junior team members.

• 4–6 years private equity / transactional experience
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills on M&A and buyout documents
• Ability to manage transactions, meet deadlines and supervise junior attorneys
• Excellent research, writing and oral communication skills
• Exceptional organization and project management abilities
• Good academic credentials; admission or eligibility for admission to the D.C. bar (or reciprocity) as required
