Mid-Level Tax Associate — Tax

We are seeking a mid-level tax associate to join a national law firm’s tax team. The role is open across multiple U.S. offices; candidates should be based in Nashville, Washington, D.C., Houston, or Dallas at the time of hire. This is a substantive, hands-on associate role on a collaborative team with structured training and opportunities for responsibility.

Ideal candidates will have solid transactional tax experience working with renewable energy tax credits or tax aspects of M&A and private equity transactions. The team values strong drafting and writing, attention to detail, and the ability to take on client-facing and deal-supporting work quickly.

The position is expected to be primarily office-based; associates should plan to be onsite at least three business days per week and must be licensed or ready to obtain admission (or waive in) in the state where they will practice.

• 2–5 years of transferable tax experience, with experience in renewable energy tax credits and/or corporate/M&A tax (private equity transactions a plus)
• Active bar admission in the hiring state or ability to waive in; ready to become licensed if required
• Strong legal writing and drafting skills, with close attention to detail
• Comfortable working onsite at least three business days per week in the designated office
