Midlevel Associate — Antitrust (New York or Washington, D.C.)

Top-tier US law firm seeks a midlevel transactional antitrust associate to join its Antitrust & Competition practice in either the New York or Washington, D.C. office. The role focuses on merger clearance work across domestic and cross-border transactions, counseling on deal strategy and compliance, and managing regulatory filings and responses.

Successful candidates will work on Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) filings, Second Request responses, merger reviews before the FTC and DOJ, and related contract negotiation and diligence. The team also handles foreign direct investment (FDI) matters and broader antitrust counseling and litigation when needed.

• 2–5 years post-qualification experience in transactional antitrust work (law firm or U.S. agency experience)
• Experience with HSR filings, Second Request processes, merger investigations and deal counseling
• Familiarity with merger control and foreign direct investment reviews preferred
• Strong research and writing skills; ability to manage multiple matters and client priorities
• New York or District of Columbia bar membership required
