The role focuses on designing power strategies and navigating state and federal regulatory frameworks that shape large-scale energy projects.
Day‑to‑day work includes negotiating sophisticated power purchase agreements and energy services agreements, counseling on RTO/ISO market design and interconnection policies, representing clients in FERC proceedings, and advising on emerging federal energy policy and carbon‑free procurement strategies.
This is a hybrid role with eligibility for firm benefits, an annual discretionary bonus, and other standard employee programs.
- 3–6 years of energy law experience, with a mix of transactional and regulatory matters preferred
- Familiarity with the Federal Power Act, power market mechanics, and power transaction structures (e.g., PPAs, ESAs)
- Experience drafting bespoke energy contracts and advising on RTO/ISO issues
- JD from an accredited law school and admission (or eligibility to waive in) to practice in the office jurisdiction
