Experienced patent prosecution associate role within an established life sciences/IP group in Seattle. The team handles patent drafting and prosecution for biotechnology and related life-science technologies.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on patent prosecution experience in biotech, work closely with scientists and inventors, and contribute to patent strategy for a range of life-sciences clients. This position requires USPTO registration (or the commitment to pass the patent bar within the firm’s first-year timeframe).

1–5 years of patent prosecution experience (biotechnology/life sciences focus)
Advanced degree in a life-sciences technology area strongly preferred (Ph.D. advantageous)

Strong drafting, prosecution, and client-communication skills; comfortable collaborating with scientific teams
