Midlevel Associate — Intellectual Property (Life Sciences) — Washington, DC

Seeking a midlevel IP associate to join a life-sciences focused practice in Washington, DC. The role centers on patent prosecution for biotechnology and related life-sciences technologies, working with cross-disciplinary teams on drafting and prosecuting patent applications.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on patent prosecution experience and an advanced scientific background. The team offers exposure to complex biotech matters and a supportive platform for technical associates to develop career progression.

• 1–5 years' patent prosecution experience, preferably in biotechnology/life sciences
• Advanced degree in a life-sciences discipline preferred (Ph.D. strongly preferred)
• USPTO registration (patent bar) required; candidates may be expected to pass the patent bar prior to or within 12 months of hire
• Strong drafting and prosecution skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with scientists and other lawyers
