Midlevel International Trade, Investment Controls & National Security Associate — Washington, DC

We are seeking a midlevel associate to join a Washington, D.C. practice focusing on international trade, investment controls and national security matters. The role involves counseling clients on export and import controls, sanctions, foreign ownership/control mitigation, and related regulatory matters.

Successful candidates will work closely with experienced lawyers who provide mentoring and increasing client responsibility. The team values strong drafting, project management, and the ability to manage matters independently and collaboratively.

• 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in international trade, export/import controls, sanctions, or related regulatory work
• Practical knowledge of foreign ownership/control mitigation and national security review processes
• Strong legal writing and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent communication and academic credentials
