Mid‑Level/Senior Associate — Private Equity M&A (Asset Management) — New York

Seeking a mid‑level to senior associate to join a busy Private Equity group in New York. The role focuses on asset management M&A, with an emphasis on GP‑stakes and other sponsor‑driven transactions, plus broader corporate transactional work.

Ideal candidates will be comfortable both leading portions of deals and collaborating on team‑based matters. Work will include mergers & acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity and venture investments and exits, and equity compensation matters.

Bar admission (or prompt eligibility for admission) in New York is required. The team values commercial judgment, strong written and oral communication, and the ability to manage relationships with internal and external counsel and clients.

• 3+ years of transactional experience (private equity/asset management M&A preferred)
• Documented experience on GP‑stakes or other sponsor/asset management transactions strongly preferred
• Broad corporate transactional experience (M&A, recapitalizations, growth equity/VC, exits, equity compensation)
• Bar admission or eligibility in New York
• Strong commercial judgment, communication skills, and ability to manage deal components and relationships
