The role supports recording- and publishing-related transactions, catalog buy/sell diligence, and a broad range of artist, producer and licensing agreements across multiple U.S. offices.
The position offers hands-on deal work and counseling for music clients, working closely with IP counsel on copyright/trademark issues and with cross-functional teams on financing and commercial arrangements. This is a multi-office role with opportunities to collaborate across locations.
- Juris Doctor (JD) required and active bar admission in the hiring office jurisdiction.
- 4–6 years' experience in music industry law — major-label, publisher, or recognized entertainment practice preferred.
- Experience reviewing and negotiating recording, publishing, producer, songwriting, management, merchandising, endorsement/influencer, tour and related agreements.
- Due diligence experience on catalog acquisitions (buy- and sell-side); familiarity coordinating copyright and trademark searches.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to summarize contract terms and present findings in spreadsheet form; working knowledge of entertainment-related financing.
