The position focuses on customs and import compliance, advising on U.S. and multinational trade regulatory matters and representing clients before government agencies.
Work will include advising on classification, valuation, country of origin, preference programs, import compliance programs, tariff mitigation, and CBP matters such as binding rulings, protests, audits, prior disclosures, and enforcement proceedings. The team is collaborative and offers opportunities for substantive drafting, litigation at the Court of International Trade, and thought leadership.
The role is hybrid with regular in-office presence and some remote flexibility. Candidates should expect a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with opportunities to support business development initiatives.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction
- 4–6 years of experience in national security, global trade, or customs/import compliance
- Experience advising on U.S. customs laws (classification, valuation, country of origin, marking, preference programs) and import compliance programs
- Experience interacting with U.S. government agencies (e.g., CBP) preferred
- Strong drafting, analytical, research, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple matters in a team setting
