Senior role within a busy non‑contentious construction team in Manchester, supporting delivery on large UK construction and engineering projects across public and private sectors. The post-holder will provide commercial, technical advice on procurement strategies and contract drafting/negotiation, with significant client contact and autonomy.

You will join a high‑performing national practice that works across buildings, infrastructure, energy, transport and other sectors, collaborating with wider real estate, banking and projects teams. There is a clear remit to support team growth, supervise junior lawyers and help develop client relationships.

Qualified solicitor with minimum 5 years' post‑qualification experience in non‑contentious construction law.
Proven experience on UK construction/engineering projects and advising on JCT, NEC and bespoke construction contracts.
Strong commercial drafting and negotiation skills, with experience of procurement and dispute avoidance mechanisms.
Demonstrable client management, team supervision and ability to work collaboratively across sector teams; interest in legal technology and process improvement.
