Leading Tokyo office seeks foreign-qualified associate or professional support lawyer to work on cross-border corporate and M&A matters. The role offers regular exposure to international transactions and the chance to apply qualified-jurisdiction expertise within a Japan-focused practice team.

Non-Japan Qualified (NJQ) associates will collaborate with Japan-qualified lawyers to support client advice and transaction work; PSL roles focus on ensuring English-language drafting and transaction documents meet international standards. Visa‑and relocation support is available for candidates relocating to Japan.

Foreign-qualified lawyer with approximately 2 years’ post-qualification experience (NJQ associates).
For PSL roles: English-native speakers with 2+ years’ experience in English‑language jurisdictions and substantial drafting experience in M&A/corporate/finance.
Strong drafting and analytical skills in English; experience on cross-border corporate/M&A transactions preferred.
Japan work-visa required prior to starting; firm provides documentation support. Japanese language ability welcome but not mandatory.
