Oil & Gas Associate — Washington, D.C.

Leading national firm seeking an oil & gas associate for the Washington, D.C. office. The role focuses on regulatory and administrative matters for energy-sector clients, with opportunities to work on federal policy, permitting and agency litigation.

Successful candidates will handle administrative appeals, civil enforcement defense and regulatory counseling under statutes affecting the oil and gas sector. The team offers a collaborative environment and opportunities for professional development on high-profile federal matters.

• 1–3 years’ relevant experience in oil & gas or energy regulatory work
• Experience or strong interest in federal energy policy, administrative law and challenging federal agency action
• Familiarity with NEPA, OCSLA, the Mineral Leasing Act, ESA, CWA or similar federal statutes preferred
• Admitted to the D.C. Bar or eligible for bar admission/waiver; strong academic record
• Ability to work in-office at least three business days per week
