Senior finance partner role for an established practice based in Chicago. You will lead complex banking and finance matters, advise corporate and institutional borrowers/lenders, and drive origination and execution across syndicated and structured transactions.

The role is client-facing and managerial: you will supervise associates, coordinate cross‑practice teams, and take responsibility for matter profitability and risk management. The team welcomes experienced rainmakers and offers flexibility on work location.

Portable client relationships are valued; the successful candidate will be expected to grow and sustain a healthy pipeline while maintaining high standards of technical work and client service.

Partner-level experience in finance and banking transactions (syndicated loans, secured lending, structured financings)
Proven track record of client origination and relationship management; portable book of business preferred
Experience managing teams and mentoring junior lawyers on complex deals
Strong drafting, negotiation and commercial judgment; licensed to practice in the relevant US jurisdiction
