Seeking a team-oriented partner or of counsel to join an established Energy practice with offices in Washington, D.C. and several Midwestern and Rocky Mountain cities. The role will focus on regulatory and transactional energy matters supporting clients across regional transmission organizations and federal regulatory regimes.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with FERC-related matters, RTO issues, and energy transactions; lobbying experience is welcome but not required. The firm offers a collaborative platform and support across offices for a senior lawyer with an active transactional/regulatory practice.

  • Senior-level lawyer (partner or of counsel) with substantial energy regulatory and/or transactional experience
  • Demonstrable experience with FERC matters and regional transmission organizations (RTOs)
  • Familiarity with MISO, PJM, and/or SPP preferred
  • Transactional experience advising energy clients on deals and regulatory compliance
  • Lobbying or governmental relations experience is a plus
  • Strong client development and team collaboration skills
