A well-established national law firm is seeking a partner to join its Honolulu office to strengthen and lead a combined tax and litigation practice. The role will handle tax controversy and related civil litigation matters for a diverse client base.

The successful candidate will have a track record of courtroom or contested matter experience, strong technical knowledge of tax law, and the ability to manage and mentor junior lawyers. A portable practice or demonstrable client-development ability is welcome as the firm looks to grow its local presence.

Bar admission in Hawaii (or ability to obtain) and active litigation experience.
Substantive expertise in tax law, including tax controversy or dispute resolution.
Proven experience in contested matters and client representation before courts or administrative tribunals.
Demonstrated business development skills and ability to work collaboratively to grow a practice; experience managing and mentoring associates.
