Patent Agent / Technical Advisor — Medtech, New York

Senior patent-agent-level role supporting a busy IP counseling and prosecution team in New York with a focus on medtech, biomedical, mechanical and materials technologies. The role combines patent drafting and office-action responses with prior-art searching, FTO and patentability analyses to support prosecution, counseling and litigation matters.

• Bachelor’s degree in materials, chemical, mechanical, biomedical engineering or a closely related technical field; advanced degree a plus.
• 3–7 years of relevant technical or patent experience in biomedical/chemical/materials/mechanical areas.
• Registered US patent agent or eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam and meet registration requirements.
• Demonstrated experience with patent drafting, responses to office actions, and prior-art searches/FTO and patentability analyses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively on cross-disciplinary teams.
