Join a large, multidisciplinary IP team in London as a qualified Patent Attorney specialising in life sciences. The role offers broad exposure across patent prosecution, oppositions/appeals and client-facing work, supported by established litigation and commercial colleagues.

This is a hands-on role drafting patent applications, preparing office-action responses, managing EPO opposition and appeal work, and liaising with clients and overseas attorneys. The team handles a mix of biotech and chemical subject matter and supports development of specialist expertise.

Qualified European Patent Attorney with full UK qualification
Minimum c.2 years post-qualification experience handling patent prosecution and EPO work
Experience drafting patent applications and preparing office-action responses; opposition/appeal experience preferred
Scientific degree (2:1 or equivalent) in biochemistry, molecular biology or related discipline; strong academic record
Comfortable with biotech and/or chemical subject matter; interest in AI/computing in life sciences an advantage
Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, ability to meet tight deadlines and work collaboratively in a close-knit team
