Patent Attorney — Patent Litigation (Chemistry) — Düsseldorf

Leading international law firm is seeking a patent attorney to join its Düsseldorf patent litigation team with a focus on chemistry. The role centres on contentious patent work: oppositions and invalidity proceedings, nullity and utility model actions, and support in infringement litigation — including matters before the Unified Patent Court.

Work is predominantly cross-border and carried out in close coordination with international colleagues. You will draft written submissions, attend hearings and manage both national and European proceedings; many matters and client interactions are conducted in English.

• Qualified German or European patent attorney (Patentanwältin/Patentanwalt) with a chemistry background
• Strong scientific/technical knowledge in chemistry and willingness to engage with adjacent technical fields
• Practical experience in patent litigation (oppositions, nullity, infringement support) is preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in German and very good English
