Experienced patent prosecution team seeks a junior-to-mid-level associate with a mechanical or aerospace engineering background to support prosecution and counseling across U.S. patent portfolios. Opportunities exist in the Washington, D.C., New York, or Los Angeles offices.

The role focuses on drafting and prosecuting U.S. patent applications, working with inventors and technical teams, and coordinating with litigators and strategists to maximize portfolio value. The team includes former examiners and attorneys with advanced technical degrees.

  • 1–3 years of patent prosecution experience (USPTO or law firm).
  • Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and admission to, and good standing with, the relevant state bar.
  • Strong writing, analytical skills, and excellent academic record; prior patent examiner experience and PTO registration preferred.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with prosecution, counseling, and litigation teams; submissions should include transcripts and a short cover letter indicating office preference.
