Midlevel associate position in a life‑sciences patent prosecution group based in Boston. The role focuses on preparing and prosecuting U.S. patents and providing counseling for emerging and growth biotechnology clients across areas such as antibodies, nucleic acid therapeutics, gene editing, chemical biology and related molecular biology disciplines.

Candidates will join a team handling patent prosecution and counseling projects from drafting through prosecution strategy, working closely with scientists and in‑house teams. The role offers exposure to a range of biotech technologies and collaborative courtroom‑adjacent counseling work.

Applicants must be prepared to satisfy USPTO registration requirements as described below.

  • 1–5 years patent prosecution experience in biotechnology/life sciences.
  • Advanced degree in a life‑sciences field strongly preferred (Ph.D. preferred; e.g., molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, cell biology).
  • USPTO registration required — must already be registered or prepare for, take, and pass the patent bar within the first 12 months of employment.
  • Demonstrated drafting and prosecution experience for antibody, DNA/RNA therapeutic, gene‑editing or related biotech matters.
