Experienced patent associate opportunity in Houston focused on prosecution and litigation support for electrical engineering and software technologies. The role involves drafting and prosecuting U.S. patent applications and supporting related patent enforcement and clearance matters across technology areas such as energy, software, AI, manufacturing and related high‑tech sectors.

Successful candidates will join a team serving a national and international client platform and will have opportunities to broaden experience into energy and natural resources and other industry verticals. The role is subject to export control laws.

Candidates must be registered with the USPTO and be licensed or able to obtain admission to the Texas Bar. Strong written and oral communication, analytical skills, and attention to client service are essential.

2–5 years patent prosecution experience, including drafting and prosecuting U.S. patent applications
Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a closely related technical field
USPTO registration required
Licensed in or able to obtain admission to the Texas Bar
Experience or technical background in energy, software/AI, manufacturing or related technologies preferred
Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and analytical skills
