Well-regarded international law firm seeks a patent litigator to join its Düsseldorf IP team. The role focuses on contentious patent work, handling oppositions, nullity and enforcement matters, and participation in proceedings before the emerging Unified Patent Court as well as proceedings before the European Patent Office and German courts.

You will draft written pleadings, conduct oral hearings and advise on cross-border litigation strategies in coordination with colleagues across jurisdictions. The team works on technically sophisticated mandates for technology-focused clients and offers structured professional development and international collaboration.

Qualified German or European patent attorney with a physics or electrical engineering background
Practical experience in patent litigation (EPO oppositions, nullity/invalidity proceedings, infringement cases)
Strong drafting and oral advocacy skills
Very good German and English, confident client communication
Comfortable working on cross-border matters and in international teams
