Pre-Litigation Associate / Of Counsel — Employment & Labor (San Juan, PR)

Remote pre-litigation role supporting an employer-side labor & employment practice. The position focuses on handling demand letters, records requests, agency/administrative charges, settlement activity (including mediations) and related client/counsel communication with a high degree of independence.

The role is non‑partner track and available remotely; candidates must be licensed to practice in California and maintain good standing. The position carries an annual hours expectation of 1,850 and involves regular collaboration with litigation support, operations and professional development teams.

• Admitted to the California Bar and in good standing; must meet any applicable ethical/licensing requirements.
• At least 4 years of California employment litigation experience to be considered for an Associate-level role; typically 9+ years and first‑chair experience to be considered for an Of Counsel level.
• Proven experience handling demand letters, records requests and agency/administrative charges; comfortable with client and carrier contact and settlement/mediation involvement.
• Strong legal research, drafting, organizational and time‑management skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to manage high document volumes and competing deadlines.
