Senior clinical negligence role within a busy healthcare team handling defended claims for public and private providers. The team covers clinical negligence, healthcare advisory work, mental health and related child-law matters, and is supported by clinical specialists.

The post-holder will run a mixed caseload of litigated and pre-litigation clinical negligence matters, conduct investigations, liaise with claimants/solicitors, counsel and experts, and work to client service standards and financial targets. There are strong opportunities for case ownership, client-facing work and contributing to team development.

Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 4 years' PQE in clinical negligence or healthcare litigation
Experience defending high-value and complex litigated and pre‑litigation clinical negligence claims; NHS experience or work for public healthcare bodies preferred
Strong technical knowledge of CPR and clinical negligence procedure, with proven advocacy skills
Proven ability to manage a diary of cases, meet chargeable/financial targets and work to strict deadlines
Excellent communication, investigative and evidence‑analysis skills; experience supervising or training junior staff
