Principal Associate — Non-Contentious Construction, Birmingham

Senior associate opportunity in a large non‑contentious construction & engineering team, advising on high‑value construction, engineering and infrastructure projects. The role covers work for developers, investors, public sector clients, occupiers and contractors across sectors such as logistics, offices, energy, healthcare and regeneration.

The team provides commercial, technically informed advice on procurement, contract negotiation, and risk allocation, and acts across the full range of construction contracts and funding/development arrangements. This role offers responsibility for leading major matters with limited partner supervision and supervising junior fee‑earners.

• Qualified Solicitor with minimum 6 years' PQE.
• Proven experience advising on major forms of construction contract (eg JCT, NEC, FIDIC, MF/1) and on development/funding agreements and agreements for lease.
• Track record on large projects and regeneration schemes and ability to run matters with limited partner input.
• Experience supervising junior fee‑earners, strong drafting, negotiating and client‑handling skills, and commercial judgement.
