The team advises on complex planning applications, Development Consent Orders, appeals, judicial reviews and related infrastructure projects.
The role involves managing a varied caseload for developers, landowners, housebuilders, public bodies and investors, drafting and negotiating planning agreements and infrastructure documents, and leading on inquiries, hearings and appeals. The team also produces thought leadership, client training and market-facing events.
This is an opportunity to develop a planning-focused practice within a collaborative team and take responsibility for high-profile, technically demanding matters across the UK.
- Qualified solicitor with solid UK planning experience (private practice or in-house).
- Practical experience or demonstrable interest in planning agreements, infrastructure agreements, planning applications, hearings/appeals and compulsory purchase work.
- Proven ability to manage a busy caseload to tight deadlines and to communicate effectively with clients, local authorities and project teams.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and presentation skills; comfortable representing clients at inquiries and in statutory processes.
