Apply in confidence →An established global law firm’s flexible-resourcing team is seeking an experienced privacy lawyer for a consultancy role working within an in-house legal team in London. The role will act as a trusted business partner to senior stakeholders, providing practical, commercial advice on data protection and privacy risks.
Key responsibilities include advising on the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act, the Data (Use and Access) Act, conducting DPIAs and handling data subject rights, supporting marketing/PECR and AdTech issues, advising on data protection aspects of SaaS and other commercial agreements, and helping implement Generative AI initiatives from a privacy perspective.
- Qualified solicitor or barrister entitled to practise in the UK (sufficient PQE for in-house counsel roles).
- Proven technical expertise in privacy and data protection law, including DPIAs, data subject rights and marketing/AdTech issues.
- Experience advising on data protection in commercial/technology contracts (eg. SaaS) and on new tech such as generative AI.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments; strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills.
