Private Equity Associate, Corporate — Chicago

Growing corporate practice in Chicago seeks a Private Equity Associate to support buy‑side and sell‑side M&A and PE transactions. You will work on complex deals across the transaction lifecycle, from diligence and document drafting to closings and post-closing matters.

The team handles high‑profile, fast‑moving matters for sponsor and strategic clients; associates are expected to run substantive deal components, engage directly with clients, and collaborate with cross‑office teams. The role is hybrid with regular in‑office presence.

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and admission to the Illinois bar
• 5–8 years’ private equity / M&A transactional experience at a leading corporate law firm (AmLaw 100 experience preferred)
• Proven experience running PE or high‑value M&A transactions, including drafting and negotiating purchase agreements and ancillary documents
• Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation, project management, and client‑facing skills
