Private Equity Associate — New York

Leading US law firm is seeking a 3rd–6th year associate to join the private equity/M&A team in New York. The role involves advising private equity sponsors and portfolio companies on buy‑side and sell‑side transactions and related matters, working as part of deal teams and taking a hands‑on drafting and negotiation role.

The successful candidate will take ownership of transaction documents, support fund and portfolio company needs, and act as an integral extension of client teams in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. The team handles complex sponsor-driven M&A and fund‑related work.

• 3–6 years post‑qualification experience in private equity and M&A
• Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements and ancillary transaction documents

• Excellent academic credentials and prior large‑firm/private equity sponsor experience
