Senior procurement lawyer sought to join a commercial corporate team, based in Newcastle with options to work from Leeds or Southampton. The role focuses on drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial and procurement contracts across public and private sector engagements.

The post-holder will lead complex contract work, provide pragmatic legal advice to clients and internal stakeholders, and take ownership of matters from drafting to close. The role offers opportunity to manage and mentor junior lawyers and to shape procurement-contracting processes across the office footprint.

We are looking for a confident senior lawyer who can combine technical procurement and commercial contract expertise with strong client-facing skills and a commercial mindset.

Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent qualification)
Proven experience advising on procurement and commercial contracts at a senior level
Strong drafting, negotiation and project-management skills
Experience supervising junior lawyers and managing matters end-to-end
Commercial awareness and ability to develop client relationships and contribute to business development
