Short-term (12-month) maternity-cover Professional Support Lawyer role within a busy banking knowledge team in London. The role supports a broad banking & finance practice, covering corporate and leveraged finance, real estate finance, infrastructure, project and asset finance, and restructuring and insolvency.

You will work with knowledge counsel and senior know‑how leads to maintain precedents and guidance, produce technical updates and presentations, respond to day‑to‑day queries from fee earners, and help translate legal and market developments into practical know‑how.

The position offers flexible/hybrid working arrangements and is based in London. The team values collaborative working and continuous improvement of knowledge processes and resources.

Qualified English‑law solicitor or barrister with experience in banking and finance.
Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills; confident producing written materials and presentations for a legal audience.
Ability to build credibility with partners and fee earners through sound technical judgement and clear communication.
Organised, self‑directed, able to prioritise multiple pieces of work and work collaboratively across a team.
Experience in a professional support or knowledge role within a large law firm is advantageous but not essential.
