Property Disputes Associate — Real Estate (Sydney, 4–5 years PAE)

Join a specialist property disputes team within a large national commercial law practice in Sydney. The team acts for major landlords, property managers, funds and developers on a broad range of leasing and property litigation.

The role involves running and supporting complex property and commercial leasing disputes across State and Federal courts and tribunals, including urgent interlocutory work, drafting pleadings and evidence, insolvency-related property matters, and participating in mediations and other ADR processes.

This is a career-progressing opportunity for an ambitious disputes lawyer to deepen a property/leasing specialism while working with an experienced team on high-quality, commercial matters.

• Admission and approximately 4–5 years post-admission experience in property disputes or commercial litigation
• Proven experience in leasing and landlord/tenant disputes, including court or tribunal appearances
• Strong drafting skills — pleadings, affidavits and evidence — and sound legal research and analytical ability
• Client-facing skills, ability to manage multiple matters and work collaboratively within a team; mentoring junior staff
