Seeking a litigation attorney to join a municipal and public agency practice in Walnut Creek. The role focuses on defending public entities and related general liability matters (e.g., trip-and-falls, motor vehicle accidents) in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings.

Day-to-day work includes drafting and responding to pleadings and discovery, preparing and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. The team handles litigation, counseling, and transactional matters for cities, counties, school districts, special districts, and joint powers authorities.

This is a collaborative, fast-paced environment that values strong writing, analytical ability, and the capacity to manage multiple matters independently and as part of a team. Candidates with substantive general liability litigation experience who are interested in public agency work are encouraged to apply.

J.D. and admission to the California Bar required
2–15 years of litigation experience; public entity defense preferred but experienced general liability litigators will be considered
Experience with discovery, initial pleadings, motion practice, and depositions
Strong writing, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple matters
Self-starter who works well independently and on teams
