Real Estate Associate — Leasing focus — Washington, D.C.

National law firm seeks a real estate associate to join its Washington, D.C. office with a focus on leasing and commercial real estate transactions. The role offers hands-on transactional work across acquisitions, dispositions, development, mixed‑use and multifamily projects within a collaborative team environment.

The team handles a range of regulatory and transactional matters common to the DC market (including municipal and tenant‑protection issues). This position is a strong fit for a lawyer who wants substantive client exposure and professional development within a busy, nationally‑oriented real estate practice.

• 1–4 years of commercial real estate transactional experience (associates level)
• Experience in leasing plus one or more of: acquisitions, dispositions, development, mixed‑use, condominiums, multifamily projects
• Familiarity with local regulatory issues (e.g., TOPA, rights of first refusal, rent control) preferred
• Active bar membership in DC, Maryland, and/or Virginia
• Strong academic record, excellent drafting and communication skills
