Top-tier global law firm is seeking a mid-level Real Estate Associate to join its New York real estate finance and development team. The role will focus on commercial real estate lending and development transactions, with early responsibility on deal teams and meaningful client-facing exposure.

Typical matters include representation of lenders on mortgage and subordinate loans (including mezzanine and preferred equity) and borrower-side work on acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development and construction finance. Strong drafting skills for loan agreements and joint venture documents are required.

Candidates must be admitted to the New York Bar and have excellent academic credentials and prior law firm transactional experience. Please be prepared to provide a resume, law school transcript, cover letter and deal sheet.

3–6 years of real estate transactional experience (real estate finance, development, or joint ventures)
Experience with mortgage, mezzanine, preferred equity or other subordinate financing; construction lending or repurchase facilities a plus
Strong drafting skills for loan agreements and joint venture agreements
Admitted to the New York Bar
Excellent academic record and prior law firm experience; readiness for early responsibility on deal teams
